Why Run your car on vegetable Oil?
It’s a cheaper fuel than either diesel or petrol and it could increase the power performance of your car. It is currently possible to walk into most major supermarkets in the UK and buy vegetable oil for less than 50p/litre.
However there are more important reasons than plain economics and performance for using vegetable oil as a fuel and that's the environment. Carbon in the atmosphere (as CO2) is taken in by plants, which is released when they die and decompose naturally. Using veg oil made from plants in your car is pretty much the same thing: carbon which was recently in the air is returned to the air. There's no change in the total carbon in the cycle.
