Default got me first 40 litres of USED veg oil

sorted!......it was from the shop i went to the other week and i`v been waiting for containers and other bits to go get some.

i thought he might of changed his mind when i got there so i was crappin it a bit but he was all smiles.... bless him lol...he even told me to come back once a week so im chuffed to bits.

right .... on the other hand.... i got covered in the stuff and it stinks...

i deffo need a transfare pump as his stuff is pretty bit free and its gotta be better than scooping the gunk out of a deep barrel(god i cant wait for the winter to comelol) so it looks like some kind of pump thing for me.

next step is the filtering set up. i`v got 2 loft header tanks for storage and im going to do it indoors in a converted toilet room that has its own window.

im going to go down the denim sock filter for starters and then maybe onto a 5mic sock filter as a final.
am i better off filtering to 5mic first then letting it settle , or would i be better with the denim first and then settle, then 5mic??

i can seriously see me building some kind of vacuum to suck the stuff out directly into a container in the van.... something like a 40 litre drum and a 12v vacuum or 3,(you know them cheap yellow 12v vacs you get from halfords and the such), or i`v got a genny that i can hook up to an old henry hoover i have and that shuld work..............god look at me.. iv got 40ltrs of uvo and im going mad ..

anyway i`l keep you posted on what goes off next!

found a pump already...12v Bio Diesel Transfer Pump Vegetable oil plant waste on eBay, also, Hand Tools, Garage Equipment Tools, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 20-Jul-08 15:56:45 BST)

let me know what ya think?

Hello mate...

Ive found once all the chicken nuggets fish bits and breadcrumbs are out of the way, settling the stuff is enough for me..

I just us tights doubled over the end of a large syphon pump to extract the good stuff from the top of the custardy bit

I filter, settle then fine filter into a container, add petrol, then leave a week.

About two weeks start to finish, I know Clive likes to leave for about 5 time that.
I might fine filter once more before adding to the tank.
