| I was running 38 on my 205/70x14, but the middles were wearing big time, so now I've dropped to 28 to try and wear the edges, to be honest I haven't noticed any difference in handling, but then 205/70 are more like tractor tyres anyway | ||||||||

| I've found with just about every car I've had, running at the listed pressures results in a tyre which is bald on the edges with plenty of life left in the middle, which can't be used because its below the minimum on more then 25% of the width. (Tyres must have more than 1.6mm of tread on the central 75%). I tend to check the wear on mine periodically and then stick a couple of extra PSI in if it seems to be wearing on on the edges and let a bit out if the middle is starting to go a bit quicker. In theory at least this should give optimum wear with an optimum footprint. (Just changed the fronts, pair of budget 185R14 (102/100)T 's which have lasted about 20,000 miles). | ||||||||
