After a long absence, I'm back. But I sold the Ace at the beginning of the year. I was sad to hear there is a problem with the bus, but hopefully it will get sorted by Bob!

I find myself driving a completely different beast: A Fiat Ulysse seven-seater. It's big, easy to drive, petrol (!), comfortable and, compared to the Ace, has a decent turn of speed. Little in the way of character though. I reckon an engine with 50%+ more power, a manual gearbox and 2WD would make the TownAce a more enticing proposition. But how I miss those gadgets, the superb comfort and the sheer quirkiness!

I will continue to dip into this forum, as one day I may well return to the fold - possibly with wide-bodied Estima, or Regius or even Granvia...!

Default Re: Up for sale soon...

Hi all. I'm sad to announce this, but the ex-AceTown bus is up for sale. We've used her to move grandparents around the country - which she's been great for - but now we're finding that she's too big for the two of us to use on a daily basis (plus I've dumped myself in debt for the next 5 years to buy a bargain Skoda, but that'd another story...). She's working perfectly, after a kickdown-cable-related issue in the summer, and has MOT until June.

If anyone's interested, please let me know & you're very welcome to come & have a look. I'm based just outside Windsor in Berkshire, postcode SL4. We'll be sad to see her go, but need some space on the drive!
