Default The Alien Has Landed

I would like to at long last unveil our new look bus ,,as some know ive been making a bodykit from scratch for over 18 months on and off ,,it was finished a few weeks ago and fitted in time for bromsgrove were the response was incrediable,,so id like to say a big thank you to everyone who came and complimented on it ..the revamped bus won best overall, best modified at the bromsgrove meet ,,
anyway for those that havent seen it yet here it is ,,

THE ALIEN

ok i would also like to thank a few people as without them it wouldnt have happened ,,firstly juls my wife who has put up with me being in the garage doing it,next is musicman for helping out with things i needed to complete it ,cader and mrs cader, jomon and woody for all the support thats been given when i felt like giving up ,,and to all the others who have said you can do this ,,

Looking good, while you've been blininging yours my kids have been destroying mine

It's got me thinking though, a bit of good weather, some work and a lot of patience from the wife and my interior might look like a car rather than a bombsite again

Paul, Well done.
I am seriously jelous, not so much of the styling, nothing wrong, just not me. BUT. after building a boat in fiberglass from scratch, I know exactly how much work is envolved.especially to get a good standard of finish.
My wife used to get upsett when a came in from the garage at midnight, stinking of resin, even after a shower, and get into the bed.
Did you make molds or use a foam form? I'm intersted cos I often think that the prices for these kits are stupid and with a bit of effort it is amazing what you can achieve.
WELL DONE

both theres perspex panels to do the lighting with a few holes ,,didnt want to much air going in as would also allow rain in there didnt think it would do the electric bits behind any good

I do believe Musicman had a lot of input in the building of this kit. He has built me a kit for my project bus and very nice it is too (to be unveiled at woodvale)he builds/sells these kits in several different styles and in essex so local to you, He very kindly donated the one to the club that was won at the weekend meet by snake eyes (well done snake and thank you terry)
