Jacobs Ladder (the steps).
The boys from RAF Locking (now a housing estate) got into the guinness book of records by going up and down it fully laden to the equivalent of climing Everest. They did it to raise money for Frenchay hospital after my friend was badly injured in an accident and treated there. Don't know if the plaque is still there.
From Cheddar if you drive up the gorge and out onto the mendips you can get gloriously lost and end up in Burrington Coombe (Rock of ages hymn written by someone who sheltered there) or in Wookey hole- which has a paper making factory there too and is close to Glastonbury (lots of hippies among athor things) and Street where Clarks started making shoes.

Default Hopefully we'll be coming too.

Brean is only about an hour and a half from us so we'll be there one way or another. I may try to take off Friday from work or beg a shift swop
Should be myself, Barbara and lil Conner, is there still time to book a site for van and tent or shall I look up alternative site?

Just turn up sweet....plenty of room.....

Don't book, and just see Clive when you are there to pay him and he sorts it all out....
