When I fitted a tow bar the bumper had to come off, as the main tow points are bolted to where the main bumper braces fit. I removed the spare wheel carrier to make room for myself.
The towbar I had only needed two holes drilled for the bracket that is on the end of the T piece at about the far end of where the spare goes.
I had to adapt the the strengthner in the bumper to allow it to be refitted.
Took about 2 hours to fit and then a further two hours doing the wiring!
