Default Captains seats for previa

Hi all!
Does anyone know if it is possible to fit captains seats in place of the driver / front passenger seats in a '94 Previa 2.4 Auto please? If so, which seats would you recommend? I know that access to the engine has to be retained and this could make things a bit awkward.
Also, can the middle bench seat be replace with swivelling seats and would seats from a Lucida/Emina fit?
I'm wanting to use the bus as an occasional weekend camper and the swivelling seats would be a big help. I'm planning to remove the rear seats in favour of a removeable hob/grill/sink unit.
If anyone has done a similar conversion I would love to hear from you - any help / ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Greg.

unless you're a midget, installing captain seats in the front is not going to be really possible

as for the middle row, I'm sure the floorpan is the same on all of the previas, it's just the seat retaining hooks will obviously be different as well as holes in the carpet... I would pull back the carpet to make sure before attempting the swap though

I don't know about the Previa - but I do know that the Estima has a different floor pan between the 7 and 8 seater ( different rear axle setup as well) and the middle row seats are not interchangeable.
Seems the 7 seater is the higher spec and a different floor pan is required for the independent rear axle and captains seats.

So you will need to check thoroughly by close comparison - unless anyone else has done the swap?

Good point about the front seats - didn't really think that one through....... a little too much enthusiasm I think!
Thanks for the info.
Cheers,
Greg.

Anything is possible, if you can use a welder then you can make-up new mounting points so that any seat would fit.

Previa 7 and 8 seater floor pans are not the same but as SAVA9E says anything is possible if you can use a welder just watch Pimp my Ride on telly.

ok, but the US never got the 8 seater, yet have the 8 seater rear axle setup... talk about strange! I guess toyota decided they needed reliability for heavy loads and abuse americans would put through on the vehicle! in otherwords, all US previas have the solid rear axle

My TCR 11R 94 Previa has 8 seats and independent suspension the US workshop manual does not cover changing the rear shocks on independent suspension. I have changed mine and its a bit of a B*****d but now ive done it it will be easy next time.
