Its hurting us all right at this point in time but from times off hardship comes great changes.
These vans only just get better mileage than the cars that came out of the high oil prices back in the 70's.
they improved the economy from and average mid 10~15MPG upto 30+mpg. My van on a bad engine with some very lite driving and some aero mods was geting almost 36mpg..
Some of the guys on here are getting btter than that.
What we will get from this is vehicles that either dont run on oil at all or vehicles that get 50~100+mpg.
This all comes about as a result of people not buying vehicles from manufacturers anymore that have lousy fuel economy.

Id love to break 50mpg

Miss the bus though, the relaxed driving style, smooth auto box, quiet engine and high driving position - I can't get the Mondeo in my garage either...

And it's going to be a nightmare squeezing it all in when we go camping.
