| Forgot to mention it also has a Turbo timer-last chance then,I'm taking the subwoofer out and selling for £850-I'll give it a couple of days on here then off to Ebay. I'm going to change the alloys as I've just realised they are not reinforced tyres(bought off Ebay)so will update later with pics-the alloys I'm putting on don't have centre caps but tyres are all very good-if you wish you can take the other alloys as well. | ||||||||

| Am seriously interested for a cash buy providing you have all approriate paperwork from Bob the man! Let me know. I am new to the club but have preiously owned one and would like a replacement due to crash experience. I've not yet worked out how to IM on this group so bear with me!. Regards My first post earlier today! Ever Crashed an Estima? New to TEOC and interested in the debate on safety. Our 93 Esta was recently written off in a collision with milk tanker. Maggie, my partner was driving to work and came round the corner of a narrow country lane (with nowhere to go) to find a milk tanker driver speeding towards her whilst the driver of said vehicle was eating his breakfast laid out on the mates seat! Driver side to drivers side head on collision. To cut a very long story short, she has survived to live and tell the tale with just one smased leg. When the paramedics and Fire service arrived they were suprised to find her alive. From the Estima drivers seat you could touch the front of the milk tanker. She was trapped in the vehicle for two hours. Senior officer commented that if it had been anything else she'd be dead. She will be off work for many months to come but has at least survived. I was totally impressed by the quality of the toyota safety cell wihich performed excellently and did it's job of absorbing the impact and transferring it around the rest of the vehicle. I have two points to make in terms of the recent survey. Do we know where the particular estima/previa used in the crash was made?. There are very different levels of quality control and metal materials in different regional build areas of the world. It is well known and documented that Americian biult models have always come out worse in terms of overall performance and safety compared to those built in Japan. What type of impact tests were used in terms of the safety norms and how was this compared to previous tests undertaken in light of recent safety developments, ie the general standard of safety is increasing all the time and therefore are the results against current or previous standards. I'd like to know because we are hoping to replace our old esta with a more modern one! I have to say our old esta never broke down and has been used siginificantly over the last 7 years Our previous model is a testament to Toyota reliability and endurance. We used it everyday approx. 70 miles and drove across Europe a number of times on regular family summer and winter holidays, including to Croatia in the summer temps of 35 centigrade and southern French Alps in freezing -10 temps where it started first time after sitting for a week! Yes some things did need replacing and were expensive but after over 190,000km covered by us carrying usually a full load I have yet to find a better vehicle! Regards to all Wild boy | ||||||||
