Gave her a blast last night and seemed to clear but tried it again today and problem still there. Funnily enough she is pulling really well and there doesn't seem to be any loss in power. She is booked in for the mot tomorrow but I just can't see her getting through the emmisions test. I have read several other threads refering to blanking off the egr valve, would this help? Any other ideas?

Thanks
Jo

How do you blank off the egr valve and what do you blank it off with?

Thanks
Jo

Two choices Jojo, small ballbearing inserted about one inch into the rubber tube to the EGR valve and then refit the tube, or small crocodile clip on the rubber tube to seal it off.

Just to let you know she passed her Mot after failing on emmisions they bunged somethin in her and she passed with no other faults. Fantastic!

Now I have been reading about using veg oil. Thinking about giving it a try. Brother-in-law put is aw in and sed that they are dipping tanks to test for this sought of thing - is this true can you get in to bother for using it as a fuel.

Thanks
Jo

You are allowed to use 2500 ltrs of veg oil without penalty. It's up to the Police to prove that you have used more

just don't go over 2500 litres per year and you don't have to declare it
