Default Farmer Teds in Ormskirk

Took the kids to Farmer Teds in Ormskirk today and got a friendly nod from the driver of a silver Estima on his way out of the car park, around midday.
Was it any of our members here?
Paul.

Hah!
The press have warned us about a possible rise in "identity theft", so I am sorry if I alarmed you Ted.

I've been "alarmed" for years.
But then, I work HERE

Nope, alarm / CCTV engineer. Doesn't pay as highly as sparking
They reckon it's not a skilled trade, only semi-skilled. But we've got to be able to do things mosts sparks couldn't think of doing, ie the 58 HDD video recorders networked over a wide area network covering Merseyside which we've just completed ( for Merseyrail ).

I agree with you Ted.
I am an electrician, and I wouldn't know where to start with a cctv network like that.
Your job is just as skilled as an electricians and you should be paid accordingly.
Have you thought about becoming a spark then if the pay is better?

Too much trouble.
As I understand it, I can't just go to night school and get 17th edition, I'd have to start out again as a lad, and seeing as I'm a manager now, that'd be a huge step back, with a massive drop in pay. But it does annoy me to be told I'm not skilled.

Who do you work for? Anyone I'd know?
