| As pointed out earlier in this thread, God Save the Queen is the "British Anthem" it should not be used when we're playing sport representing England, to my knowledge Amir Khan was the last person to use it, don’t that say something. | ||||||||

| England huh, where when wot, England used to be a great country, its gone to the dogs. You cant even fly your English flag without some bigwig sticking his nose in. The same as great Britain whats great about it. I wanted to join the army as a kid tried 3 times failed on being diagnosed with asthma. In a way im glad cant see what the point in protecting it now. Cant see the Polish joining, or the Samali's or any of the other multi cultural people wanting to fight for this country.All every one wants to do is fight against it. We should have stayed on our own. Thats whats worth fighting for. We can be a self sustained country, thats what used to make us GREAT. (sorry if i upset some people reading this, but this is my personal view).

| Steve, we all have a views and I think you speak for more than just yourself. Our biggest problem in this country is not the people that come here or the people that live here or the Government, it's one word, Media they put so much spin on the things people say and their actions that most of us are too scared to say or do anything incase it gets misconstrued and in turn use to butt hump them in order to sell their news. We see this everyday, the McCann’s they make a comment that is printed in one Newspaper today, in turn tomorrow will read as very damming because another paper uses a thesaurus to re-write the same story but with very different meanings (much like a Chinese Whisper) by the time it gets back to us, the press are ready to hang them. We need politicians that are not lead by public opinion and media consensus. We need them to show some back bone and do what needs to be done, not because the press tell them to or the public are up in arms but because did needs to be done and because it’s right. AS a country, we need to stop mincing our words and start to put things to rights and those that have an issue with it, can go live in the USA | ||||||||

| I vote for this one,it may not mean the same as it used to,but i am a tradionalist and it still brings a lump to my throat when i hear it.
