Default Should we rate tutorials

Right, having done a tutorial for the starter contacts, got me thinking.
Should we rate the tutorials based on skill required and or difficulty.
I was thinking 1 -10 for skill required.
If you are only up to checking you oil, you are level 1
If you can change a cylinder head without help, you are a 10

If a job is easy to access it is an A
if it is really fiddly ( the top bolts on the front struts ) it is an E

What do you reckon?

I've set the poll to run for two weeks. If the answer comes back as Yes, then could people go back to their tutorials and add a rating?

i have cast my vote...........bet you dont know what i voted for?

The only trouble with this F/T is that someone like say B.B might rate a job a 1(easy).......where as someone like say dumbo esti owner, would have a go thinking its easy....when dumbo actually cant do the job, because he/she is totally rubbish at things.....do you see what i mean?

Difficult one this, whilst a good idea I have fallen foul of the supposedly easy job only to find it was a lot harder, it will depend on each individual, maybe we could have a note saying the ratings are a guideline only

Good idea Martin. We could say "This is how I found the job".

Like I'd rate starter contacts as 3B. Not too hard and a bit fiddly.
Front struts more of a 6D. 6 because it involves messing with the brakes. D because of those little nuts on top of the strut being hidden behind the dash board.

But that's only my opinion.

well i think this is a good idea with the rating etc and i have voted for the rating skill etc, yes i agree with what a few have said about what might be easy to some members could be verging on the impossible for others, but i do think that the new look video tutorials do give you a better veiw of what and where you are working etc, i suppose as long as you take your time, dont rush and take it step by step and check each stage as you go, it will all become alot easier and you will achieve the right result...Debbie

I think it a good idea but as some say, I could find it easy and it could be harder for them as if a few nuts could not come undone. As I for 1 have done a couple of front dampers and some where easy and others where a pig of a job. But then Video Tutorials is the way forward, IF it could be done .........JJ
