Hi,
I'm just about to sort out a towbar for our estima 2.2td, so we can us it to pull a caravan. What are they like pulling a van..... Has anyone had any experience with little tips?

Thanks Chris

tow at about 50 to 55 mph only so as not to put too much strain on the bus.take your time and allow for the extra length of the caravan when overtaking.give yourself plenty of time for braking due to the extra towing weight.

My towing tips are

Knock the overdrive off on hills before the engine starts to labour

Fit a Mason alarm so you can watch the temp gauge actually work before it jumps to boiling point in one easy step.

and always err on the side of caution when judging fuel stops
