Seems like the best way is new crank + pulley + big end or new engine.

let the dealer know that you are seeking legal advice ect,also mention this club and you are posting on here,and there may be a chance his name will slip out
definetly go through with legal action,and go to the small claims court,although this repair may not be so small,but if the vehicle is in otherwise good condition it will be worth it,they are marvelous vehicles if right.

Cheers paul, My townace is in amazing condition. Engine was good too, only done 50,000 miles. So frustrating that the pulley coming off can cause so much trouble.
