Hi everyone. Slight change of plan. After all the work done on my lovely Townace, and in particular, after the fuel pump rebuild, I have decided to sell her due to lack of parking space and lack of general use! Also another project car is arriving and I need time to devote the that...
So: What is it? It's a post-facelift 1993 model year Townace Royal Lounge Limited 4WD in two tone bronze/smoky metallic. I would say body-wise and internally it's in very good order. It's done around 70k miles, (but to be quite honest I never pay much attention to mileage with imports) - and although steering wheel wear seems to point to higher miles, the condition is pretty darn good for the year. There's one 'gouge' about 6" long on it's offside flank, but it doesn't bother me and it isn't rusting. This damage was done when the previous owner bought it. Shame, but not really significant. It's got captain's seats in the middle so is a 7 seater. It has a Skylight Roof and rear spoiler with integral brake light. The chromed wheels are in good condition, with very good tyres. The spare is OK too. It has front and rear parking sensors, retractable driver's door mirror, front and rear automatic air con (all working). It has original Toyota deep pile fitted overmats. There's a hot/cold box, curtains (although only the rear and offside rear work from the switches). It is also fitted with a Clean Ace air purifier (electrostatic filter and ioniser I believe). I have recently fitted a replacement rear blower - and the system was cleaned out. The radio and CD work fine... and it's got funky yellow front fog lights and a nice chrome trim on the rear pipe. Oh, and heated wing mirrors too! So what have I had done? Well, it's had a 'Bob' overhaul - cambelt, cooling system check, service, rear fog light etc. Bob also supplied and fitted new front flexi's and a new rear exhaust. After it's 'bit of trouble' in France, I needed to replace the transfer box, the torque converter, the automatic gearbox. The only thing I need to do now (or indeed the prospective purchaser needs to do) is wait for a 4WD 1993 auto to be broken somewhere so I can nab the speedo drive off it (this is a little sender unit that fits on to the side of the transfer box. I did have one but it's a different fit). Once that's done, the speedo will work again (as will the automatic door locking when speed exceeds 20 kph). And that's it. Other things I had planned were to fit a Mason alarm (although it never gets hot), remote, keyless entry, a rear courtesy light in the boot and a bit of a blow over on the top of the rear bumper where it's been scratched putting stuff in and out of the boot). So before I put it on eBay, I thought I'd bring your attention to it first. It's got MOT until next August, and it's Taxed up to end of 04/08. I will be putting it up on eBay next week, but will consider reasonable offers before then... PM me with any queries or offers. Phil PS Happy New Year. PPS Some pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]()

PM sent (including the following plus my phone number), but to be fair to all, if I were to add up everything I've spent on it over the past six months, it comes out over £2k. But I'm a realist
But I will consider offers for a quick sale. AND THIS MEANS I MAY TAKE A FAIR AMOUNT LESS, CHAPS :-) Kind regards Phil Last edited by AceTown; 30th December 2007 at 01:57 PM. |

Just to remind all, the ad goes up this week, possibly even today... It'll be a Buy It Now or Best Offer deal.
UPDATE: Here it is: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MESE:IT&ih=009 Phil Last edited by AceTown; 2nd January 2008 at 09:44 AM. |
