Default Van Anni won't start

Tried to start this morning, only got a few turns of the starter motor, and now nothing. Not even the usual click when I turn the ignition. I have no idea where the starter motor is, or/and what is causing this. If I carry on trying it'll drain the battery as well. Any idea what it is and I can do ? Haven't got breakdown cover any more, more fool me

*hugs*

I haven't got a clue Pet....damp? Battery not charged enough to turn it over?
Fuel not getting through?

Have you tried pumping the accelerator before you start it?

Thanks Ang
Tried the accelerator, it struggled to turn over a couple of times, and totally stopped now. Still got dashboard lights, but they are starting to dim if I try any more *cry*

Hi pet, if you havent got anything no light or a clicking could be the battery is already flat. The cold will drain an old battery for some reason. Try charging if you have a charger you will soon no if it doesnt charge.

Sounds like the battery is too flat to turn the starter motor to me, try charging the battery or jump starting it.

Thanks all, looks like the battery then
Every time I try to jump start it UI get sparks, so I give up on that.
Will have to get a new battery, as I haven't got a charger.
*note to self: Get a charger next*

It can spark when connecting but will be ok once connected.

Connect live to live first.

Last time I had a load of smoke and sparks after connecting it and turning the ignition, now I'm too cowardly to try again
