Default non start

hello all im hoping that someone may be able to provide me with some info on how to solve a problem with my dads 95 2.2 lucida import he bought to tour the uk wit about 6 months ago.2weeks ago it started to cut out on him now its developed into a non starter.iv taken time off work to try and help him but iv reached a point now that i need some technical help!please!!!!!!!iv got no fuel to the injectors when cranking iv got fuel past the filter to the pump. iv checked all fuses under the bonnet and under the glove box, swopped over the rear heater relay with the spill valve relay,iv taken out the stop valve plunger and still no start.iv checked power supply to the pump on all the connectors and the only one without power is the white connector on the drivers side of the fuel pump, its held in place or the top housing(with 4 allen key bolts)is held in place with a 30mm nut.its 2nd in line from the fuel inlet on the pump and looks like a major component into the functioning of the pump.before i take the pump out for testing can anyone tell me if it suppose to get power with ignition on or cranking(it doesnt with either)then i can start working back to the ecu,it may even be the ecu?please i need help!

Hi!
Welcome!
Non starting seems a common problem right now.
You seem to have done some good fault finding there! Pity you've not found it yet.
I'll stick a photo here so you can confirm which bit doesn't have power.
The arrowed one should have all the time the ignition is on. I don't know about the other ones - but I would expect they should have as the ecu sinks the current.
Other recent problems have involved fuel filters. Is the pump hard when the engine is cold?
Does it run on diesel or bio / veg?
Are the glow plugs working?

Sparky has had similar problems and it seems it's his ecu: Need 3C-TE ECU.

i cant thank you enough yodeller for the picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!the connector with no voltage at all is the one with the white connector ,2nd component to the right of the arrow.the 1st component to the right of your arrow is the fuel return.and the connector im talking about ,with no volts is the next component and then the next one is black with a yellow insulation surround on the wiring harness, thats got battery voltage.and the next component is the fuel inlet.the fuel used is diesel and the primer is as hard as a rock!iv changed the fliter as a matter of elimination and when iv bled the system, the bleed tube on the return(the component next to your arrow)empties diesel out of the bleed tube onto the engine when the primer( on the filter)is pumped.i wish i knew what the function of the component with the white connector was!!!!! i think this is the offender!i am tempted to supply the componnent with 12v and see what happens.because iv removed the plastic cover off the relays and seen them functioning i cant blame them but i also think it maybe the ecu thats messing about?it fired up from cold a couple of days ago(then cut out after 25mins) and iv got 12v to the glow plugs so i can rule out glow plugs.once again thanks ever so much for the photo at least now everybody can see what im talking about.iv contacted nearly every forum so far!hahahahaha thank all for your imput.
