Most likley are if there is a timing issue for the fuel delivery it will make it noisy and the light come on the last one i had with this was belt one tooth out on the pump and as you had no running problems before it went then i would go for a man made fault

That is my thoughts, i do think it is a tooth out, so will have a look after woodvale. Everything else seems fine. A ex mechanic at my work says it sounds like one tooth out.

Well got the cam belt moved one notch on Sunday. Needed to charge battery over night so thought i would finish early Sunday evening and put all hoses and a few bits back together on Monday, then starat bus up.

WRONG. Has not stopped raining since, not light rain but very heavy rain.
I am now starting to lose a bit of motivation and am so annoyed at the weather. But hopefully the weather will get better for the weekend and i can finally get back on the road.

Ok have got the bus timing sorted i think and the engine is now ticking over at the right noise level, but now i have a loud click noise every 20 - 30 seconds. aaaaaaaarrrrrggghhhhhh.

Anyone got any ideas please

how louds the click, is it like a sticky valve sort of cammy click???

Its like when electricity crack.

Dont know what a sticky valve clicky sounds like. It is quite loud.

you would hear it quite clearly coming from the rocker cover area, other options are sticking injector but that usually sounds awful and the bus would be lumpy when running.

You havent left a spanner or socket in there have you??
