Problems. Got the the sad off the crank end, now we cant get the 19mm bolt off the crank.
I know usually the cam belt would be attached but as its not have to be able to stop it rotating,
any ideas how to do this as we cant find anywhere to wedge the whell from moving.

Any ideas please.

theres a mention of a plastic cover betwwen gearbox and block which when removed will allow you to jam the flywheel by placing a socket on a bolt on the flywheel, a good electric or air impact wrench would probably do it but best not to risk as you could force the pistons to contact a valve , shame the belt has already been removed as this would make things easier to undo if it were still in place.....
will have a look for pics of where to jam flywheel

Yes you need a harmonic puller. Local car spares will have one.

its quite a bugger to do but the three bolt puller or harmonic balance puller is the right tool , put the pulley bolt back in but not quite all the way, say leave about 10mm out. this gives something for the centre bolt to sit on and it can take a substantial amount of force to budge, you could bang it with a rubber mallet when it is under tension as this may free things up , you may have to back the pulley bolt out a couple of times but it should come free.....Owen

Many thanks. While we pondered on that we started to put the rest back together.

put ya long bar on the 19mm bolt and rest the bar against the chassis..... then turn it over !!!!.... goes with a good crack, but does the job
