From Cheddar if you drive up the gorge and out onto the mendips you can get gloriously lost and end up in Burrington Coombe (Rock of ages hymn written by someone who sheltered there) or in Wookey hole- which has a paper making factory there too and is close to Glastonbury (lots of hippies among athor things) and Street where Clarks started making shoes.
Rock of ages I think was written by Augustus Montague Toplady, That is what I have found

Well hunted down Topsy!
Lovely area we have down here. I like living here although (with work) summer can be a nightmare. Actually so long as we know which places to avoid it's ok. So us locals tend to completely avoid unnecessary driving or town in the summer!

I know the area as well as I lived in Weston a long time ago. I used to know the back roads for getting around Kaz.

They keep flaming well building on them topsy! Hope you had a good birthday?

Calling out to anyone a bit handy who's coming to brean- Philly's just said he hates the parking mirror on the bus. If anyone can help us get it off while we're down there it'll be grand. If you let me know wha tools I'd need then I can see if we have them but I have to say my pink toolbox is rather limited even for indoor jobs! Philly's toolbox just isn't worth talking about cause it's scattered all over the bleedin' place! (MULTIPLE TOOL BOXES TOO!).
Anyway- If anyone's willing to help there will be a beer (or multiple) in it for ya!
As for bling- so far since I've had my baby bus in February I have added the following:
1) An oil stain down the side.
2) A whole load of dust- even coating all over
3) Some kid down't road, key marks on drivers door
4) (Again not me) A mahoosive dent in her bumper
5) A packet of cheese and onion pasties which even Chloe won't eat
6) All sorts of sh1t on the inside
7) We've put the seats up in the back and have added mud and a tarpaulin (Heaven forbid)
8) And Finally, Callum's addition is a sticky smear on the inside of the windscreen
9) Actually, I lied- some bu99er has ripped one of the rear seat covers!

I can't wait to see you all at Brean. You'll easily recognize us, dirty bus and absolutely no camping equipment whatsoever!
I was just chatting with Philly and saying we have a tent and sleeping bags- nowt else yet! He said what more do we need, there's a caf down the road! (So I pummeled him!). TTFN, Kaz.

dead easy to remove mirror, 10mm socket or spanner, undo the 3 bolts & remove mirror

replace the 3 bolts to keep it watertight
