Fuse Box Locations

Just a "heads up"..........

There are 4 fuse boxes in a 2000 + Estima
one in the passenger footwell behind the glove box..........

One in the drivers footwell behind the lower trim

2 under the bonnet..... one above the engine

one beside the battery

list of fuses to follow

Nice view of the pollen filter in pic 1 and engine ecu on its side in pic 2
Be carefull what you cut some of the security systems on those have digital signals so one piece of wire will do different jobs depending what signal is sent down it so cutting or joining to stuff could have some disasterous effects
Not sure for the rest of the loom but certainly on the locking and imoboliser side

My auto electrician did his head in working on the 2000> Aeras model as he reckons it had 'cam bus' pulses instead of wiring so as Bob says be warned when cutting into anything on these. He still found a way of fitting a Cat 1 system on it with just the one fob for locking and setting the alarm where others seem to have to have 2!!!

this one came with (Toyota) remote locking but has aftermarket immobiliser fitted.One of those proxy things (little black thing on the key ring).Only thing i`ll be wiring is a tow bar at some point (well before Brean hopefully)
