| It can be so nice living right under the air traffic zone for RAF Duxford. We get displays regularly, including practice runs. I had the good fortune to fly over the largest group of spitfires to be assembled since ww2, during my first solo cross country flight, on the anniversary of the introduction (or was it the first flight?) of the spitfire. This is probably the only place in the world that school kids can still tell a MkV from a MkIX spit in flight. | ||||||||

| They are fantastic. Their skill is amazing. They must have nerves of steel.We see quite a bit of them being so close to Blackpool airport and can hear their engines roaring up the runway from the garden. It never ceases to give me goosebumps.
