Default Fuel Cut

Hi. Has anyone ever experienced fuel cut in an Estima and if so can you describe exactly what happened?

A few weeks ago I fitted a Turbo Boost Controller and as I expected to hit fuel cut at around 0.9 bar I decided to build and fit an FCD (Fuel Cut Defender).
I ended up building this one: Build Your Own Low Cost FCD by Paul Stoaks DIY FCD Project
It works well on the bench and was a piece of cake to build. although the diagram is missing a few connections. I also worked out the connections for the bus and tested the output of the Estima's pressure sensor with a bicycle pump of all things at tick over to get the pressure to voltage graph. Off the top of my head, at 3.8V the turbo warning light comes on ind then go's off as the pressure/voltage falls again.

BUT on the road theres not much sign of fuel cut, so as yet I haven't fitted the FCD. I thought I had hit fuel cut over 0.9 as there seamed to be a slight undulation in the pressure. But is this fuel cut?
PS if you fit this type of FCD the ECU will no longer be able to tell you if you go over boost IE a faulty wast gate actuator!

If you are close to the mark then you might feel a slight hesistation.
I dont know what voltage I have my trigger set at but my piggy back computer will add fuel over the top so I get a slight hesitation and then power just continues.
You could just wind the FCD till it clamps at a higher voltage and then see if the car boostcuts. But from what I have experienced power does drop somewhat as it tries to cut back boost.

The thing is that you really only just want to clamp the volts just before the boostcut takes effect as there is additional fuel in that extra voltage to be had..
If you have volt meter that has a peak function then just find out what volts trigure the boostcut and then set your FCD or clamp just below that figure and everything should be sweet!!!
