English Sport and the National Anthem

Am I the only one who thinks we need to change our national anthem?

No we leave it as it is,to many people wanting to change things ,to many do-gooders .
some nutter on the radio wants the last verse dropping ,cause its all about crushing the scots, who the hell knows this verse,
think we sing verse 1 & 3 finish,you`ll be saying ID cards are bad next

If I remember rightly, Land of Hope and Glory was the English anthem but someone sliped God save the Queen in, which happens to be the "British" anthem but some how we got suck with it.

Don't even get me started on ID cards

'Land of Hope and Glory' IS the English anthem, and it angers me when 'God Save the Queen' is played at international matches in any sport. The Welsh, Scots and the Irish have their own anthems, but the playing of the British national anthem has taken away the individual identity of the English.
There is nothing LESS rousing than to hear the droning and dull 'British' anthem being played. Time for a change??

is that for when england are playing football think that could be funny especialy if they do the dance as well. the other team would probably run away and england would win by default
