Just thought i'd pick some WVO up from Green Team when on my way down to Chelmsford for fireworks tomorrow and just went to look up where they are and they're moving premises to....

West Beckham which is 2 mins over the road from the camp site where we had the norfolk meet and 10 mins from my front door - 48p a litre pre-filtered WVO to 1 micron and on my door step as well

Get in there!!!

You have to buy a LOT to get that price down

They have Bio as well for 74p per litre (as long as you don't put it in your tank where they can see LOL)

Oh rats! Just when I work out where they are, they go and move! :)

I got loads of filters and oil from them earlier this year on my way to the coast...

Does anyone know of a supplier of pre-filtered WVO at that price that is closer to me?
Although it would be possible to 'drop in on' them on my way to or from Dover and buy a few hundred litres, it still wouldn't be all that convenient and I could only do it perhaps twice a year.

Does anyone know what The green Team's terms are for collection? i.e. Do they charge extra for 20/25 litre drums? Do they fill your own drums 'while you wait'? Do they do swapsies on drums? Do you need an appointment to collect pre-filtered WVO?
I emailed them requesting those and similar details over a week ago and they still haven't got back to me!

It's a pretty small operation, so can be a little scatty at times - but they're nice with it! :)

When I got my filters etc, I took a load of 5 litre containers. He measured the oil into a marked 20 litre container through a 1 micron filter and then poured from the 20 litre "measure" into my containers. Apparently, it's hard to accurately metre the oil (like with a petrol pump) because of the varying viscocity...

But I'm sure that, if you get him on the phone, you'll be able to work out whatever works for you.

Ta very Glad. Bob. I'll give them a bell nearer the time when I'll be going down for some oil. Likely some time in early December on my way back from Dover.

I'd noticed that as well. So did someone else and he raised the point in another section several days ago.
I've never managed to get over there as the timing of my trips to Belgium means that it's not convenient to get to them during their normal opening hours. I would normally be in their neighbourhood about 2 am on the outward leg and a little 'earlier' on the return. Now they don't do prefiltered WVO it's just not worth the effort - and a 1 tonne IBC would just be a PITA!

It was me that noticed it had gone from the website but I was trying to confirm from them whether they would still sell it and they won't...

I'm guessing it goes to a local fuel company making it into Bio

With the tax relief on proper bio about to be removed - along with another tax hike in the pipeline - their regular customer(s) may have to rethink the economics of the situation. This could result in the Green Team having more filtered WVO on their hands. *fingers crossed*
