When I click on a link that takes me to another site then the resulting page opens in my current browser session.

What do I have to set, so that when I click on a link it opens a new browser session?

I tend to right click links and choose open in new tab. But i'm using Firefox.

IIRC you can set IE to open all links in either a new tab or a new window somewhere in the 'Tools/Internet Options' menu. (I also use Firefox these days, so I could be wrong).

Other forums that I use open links into a new window, it's just this one that doesn't.

I though perhaps there was a setting, but I can't see anything in my profile options.

So do I but there should be no need now.... single left click should open a new tab by default

Doesn't work like that for me... single left click on internal and external links just opens a new tab for the link and the original page stays open as it was.

This could be a firefox setting maybe?
