Thanks Bob, makes sense.I'm not out to make an issue, and having been given the opportunity to respond, the garage have done the decent thing and agreed to repair. Just want the bus back on the drive and ready to go for the summer

Well, to conclude: Garage admitted liability without a fuss. Agreed to repair f.o.c. Fair play to them, I say. The dual-mass flywheel took a week to arrive, so the poor bus was taking up a bay in their workshop. I did pay for a new clutch (parts only) as I thought whilst the 'box was out they might as well replace clutch to avoid the nightmare of possible failure at some point in the future and the nightmare cost of parts plus labour.
Generally speaking, a good outcome although I'd rather not have had the hassle in the first place! The beast is back home now, looking forward to plenty of use through the fantastic summer we are going to have...............
