Norwich agency's advert for 'Polish speakers only'

This is taking the pee big stylee, to work in a bloody meat factory WTF???!?!?!

So no jobs for Brits there then, basically they're saying screw you lot the factory might be in Norfolk but we don't want any Brits working here ta.

Honestly does no one see it's c**p like this that gives the BNP nutters a platform??

We advertised recently a job with the job centre and were told we could not put "hard working" as that would discriminate agains those who weren't hard working (yes thats the point you useless feckwits we don't want non-hard working people t***s) so if we can't put that then there's no way a British job should be made exclusive to Poles

Makes a 'good' headline, doesn't it?

As I thought though, they needed Polish speakers to be able to train more easily an induction of Polish workers.
Perhaps it might have been more politically correct to just SHOUT at them in English and assume they could understand (like all them pesky furriners wot pretend not to speak our Mother Tongue)

ive been saying for years this countrys lost the plot. unfortunately we have to be very careful how we address what we say .as other people have said our country is losing more & more of its power & nationality its sad. but other people will disagree with this thats why we still have free speech pete

All of this bollocks is playing into the hands of the idiots at the BNP

Today director Mario Bardwell said he was “quite upset at the sensationalist handling”. He said they had also recruited workers of other nationalities, but on that particular occasion they needed people at short notice to take part in an induction being carried out in Polish.

Though people would still wonder on the neccesity of a polish only induction process being required in the uk????
Whichever way round you look at it either they already have a high polish speaking workforce, excluding nationals from the workforce previously. or they are only taking polish speaking staff on....... Maybe if it were a bi-lingual workforce recruiting drive then there would be less reason to stir up the hate brigade, cos if they can not be bothered to learn the lingo they exclude themselves from the job....
It does concern me though because I would believe that the employer has obviously gone the way of taking on a workforce that is willing to accept poor conditions just to have a job...if the conditions and wage were sufficient it would not have needed to tap into cheap immigrant labour....

Which is EXACTLY what I just chuffin said in the previous post presumably you read that?

It's not sensationalist journalism if it's true. Like I said you're taking the word of the people concerned at face value and ignoring the rest because these people are never going to lie now that the "story" has been told are they? They don't have anything to lose do they nooooo people never lie to cover up getting caught with their pants down....

Come on guys, let's play nicely!

And yes, sir Henry, I have a whole salad selection in my arsenal these days, however the idea of freezing the cucumber hadn't occurred to me until today ... you may live to regret that suggestion you know ;)
:sofa: :sofa:

On a more serious note though, headlines like these are designed to be attention grabbing and to stir up emotions. No matter what the truth behind them, it is shocking that they have so many foreign workers that they need people with specific language skills to train them... but is that any more shocking than the fact that they have had such difficulty recruiting local workers that they have resorted to using foreign labour?

Whatever the rights, wrongs and perspectives on this story, I'm mindful that we need to be careful here. This thread is, in my opinion, in danger of going round in circles without providing any further constructive input to the debate.
