Plenty of WD40 (or similar) might do the trick.

I ended up drilling mine off the welding a new bolt head to it many moons ago....

angle grinder should be your last option really(although its not unknown)
have you tried a decent penetrating solution like PlusGas...leave it for a while and slowly work it

or get a blowtorch on it a bit of heat always helps

there is another one,a spray that halfords do called shock and unlock, that may do it

but i reckon either plusgas or a bit of heat if you have it

All my latest 3 cars (a Citroen Xantia, The Old Girl and finally the bus) have had the same problem. Each ended up needing a different solution. The Xantia's required me chopping the lowering 'nut' & bolt and manufacturing a new one. The Old Girl's finally succumbed to the application of copious quantities of WD40 followed by de-rusting, painting and greasing (Coppaslip). As for the bus': I simply gave up as it definitely wouldn't shift. Fortunately there was just enough give in the system - even after replacing the skinny spare with a full sized one - that I could slide the spare onto the carrier and force it up enough with the car jack to put the hook in position. Removal will obviously require the same process if I should need to use it.

I wonder if the application of some CO2 from a large fire extinguisher would have the same effect

Plusgas and leave to soak for an hour and when it hasd finally come off, re-grease with a copper based anti-rust compound such as "Coppercrest". The Navy runs on this stuff (along with Black Duck tape!!)

Half the universe is held together with Duck Tape! (the other half uses baling wire and/or 'hairy' string )

Beat me to it B)

I've got a great big lump of it stuck to my dash in the new bus as a "Just in case"

Got a similar amount throughout the silver bus added during various repairs :sofa:

"The Blob": What a fillum. I wonder what happened to the 'Juvenile Lead' - he was called Steve McQueen IIRC

Need a new blob, used all of mine improvising a puller for the harmonic coupler on Tony's bus today, was an impressive sight, the sads carrier, a handful of washers, a couple of nuts and a mountain of blu-tac
