factory fitted alarm

hi new member,brought a japanese imported lucida estima 2.2 td and got told it had a build in alarm because it has a black disc just infront of the steering wheel,but there is no keyfob. how can i tell if this is true or not? thanks for your help paul.

If its the black disc in front of the steering wheel down by the windscreen you are on about , that is a sensor for the climate control
