| | Starter Motor help please My wife and I just bought our first Emina (1992 2.2 auto diesel), and we are chuffed! Then it all went wrong. The battery on it was dead (and not strong enough in the first place), it took four days to find the right battery and find a supplier, including Toyota, and then the car started. As I now had the car started, I did a few checks and found that the water level was very low, but a mark at the right level hid that originally. I put water in, and then the car started to overheat on very short journeys (I know we're not at the starter motor yet, but we are getting there ) I followed information found on TEOC to flush the system, but still overheating. However, now it just won't start - and for love or money I still can't find the starter motor. So could someone tell me where it is, or even post a picture with it in situ, and any advice at all would be welcome, as we love the car even though she won't start. The bodywork is in lovely condition and we are happy to do everything we can to give her another 16 years. Thanks - Sam and Jackie |
