Smokey Estima

Hi all,

New to this forum and needing a little help please

We bought our Estima nearly 2 years ago and love her to pieces, she is just perfect for our family and 2 dogs. She took us all the way to Devon last summer and drove like a dream. She always had the slight problem of giving out a puff of smoke when accelerating. But apart from that no problems at all. When we bought her she had already had all the common problems attended to and lots of money spent on her (have all the receipts to prove). So everything was fine until mot ran out and we didn't put it through test, cos husband using works van and i was using smaller car for work and shopping. Anyway sadly our Estima was neglected for several months and now we want to get her back on the road she isn't very happy.

We had to purchase a new battery and she started 1st time but smoking very badly driving around block. Went out and bought some of the wynn fuel & diesel cleaner. But it is no better at the moment and worried it won't pass mot. She had all filters and oil change just prior to us stopping using her. What does anyone suggest. Any advice would be much appreciated. We only really need /can afford to run one car at the moment & would really like it to be the Estima!
